fathers & sons big games day in may
April Fun
Last months Rotorua Luge event went really well for the few of us who braved the Rotorua damp conditions! Although it was raining here when we left, it was all good at the Luge when we arrived so we had several races and then headed for Ten Pin Bowling which was great fun also.
May's Big Games Day
It’s that time again for our next event which will be a Big Games Day on Saturday 30th May from 1 to 4pm. We have booked the Whakatane High School gym and a couple of rooms next to it and are planning to have a number of activities going on simultaneously. We are planning to have available:
- Electronic games – Play stations 2 and 3, X box and WII.
- Board games – Chess, Cards, Connect 4 etc
- Gym games – Soccer in the middle, Dodge Ball, Basket Ball etc and any you wish to share

The day’s events are all free plus we have had the following shops donate new games for Xbox and Playstations, Bean Bag, MP3 player and other goodies which will go into a free draw for each family that takes part in the day. Thanks to Smiths City Ltd, Tamars Café, Whitcoulls, Paper Plus, Office Products Depot, Harvey Normans, Noel Leeming and Eduquip for the gifts and Whakatane High School for free use of the gym and classrooms.
